About me
I am Lucas Hollweck, raised in Lower Bavaria and still rooted there. My path into IT started early – with curiosity, an old computer and the question of how things work under the surface.
I am motivated by clear problems and workable solutions. In parallel I run hollweck IT, supporting small and mid-sized businesses with web development, hosting and IT consulting. I am also active in politics and volunteering in Lower Bavaria.
Path so far
Curiosity & training
The path into IT started early – with curiosity, an old computer and the question of how things work under the surface. That became vocational training and an entry into enterprise IT.
IT administration
Early years in IT administration: servers, networks, user support – and with that the foundation for understanding how systems are really operated day to day.
IT security
The focus increasingly shifted to IT security: security operations, detection/response and incident-related processes.
Leadership & practice
Today I work in a leadership role in IT security and support practical topics around security, AI and automation. The role is context: what matters is delivery strength, clear communication and solutions that hold up in practice.
What drives me
I like to dig into things and make them better – whether that is a security use case, a website or a club project. It matters to me not only to be an expert in my field, but also to look beyond it.
That is why I am active in politics in the Passau district and with the Young Liberals in Lower Bavaria. I want young people to have spaces where they can shape politics and find a voice – for freedom, for economic common sense, for open exchange.
Personally
Away from screens and meeting rooms I like being outdoors, enjoy good food and make time for family and friends. Lower Bavaria is home – and I like helping shape it.
